Privacy Policy

Step Inside My World ("the site") is a personal portfolio and storytelling product built by Mei Liu. We collect the minimum information needed for you to sign in, claim a username, and use the site's features. We don't sell your data. We don't run ads.

• Account information. When you create an account with email and password, we store your email address, a hashed password, and the display name you provide.
• Google sign-in. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name, and profile picture from Google. We do not access your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, or any other Google service.
• Username. The handle you claim during onboarding, used to address your public profile pages.
• Content you submit. Resumes, role descriptions, and other text you provide to AI features (such as the tailoring and chat features) are processed to generate a response and may be stored in our database to power the feature.
• Operational data. Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, request paths, timestamps) and aggregate analytics (page views, referrers) collected via Vercel Analytics. This data does not include the contents of your account or AI inputs.

• To authenticate you and keep you signed in.
• To provide the site's features — including AI-powered features that generate responses based on your inputs.
• To diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve the product.
• To communicate with you about your account if you contact us.

We use a small set of third-party services to operate the site. Each receives only the data needed to do its job:

• Vercel — hosting and analytics.
• Neon — managed Postgres database.
• Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
• Anthropic — when you use AI features, the relevant text is sent to Anthropic's API to generate a response. Anthropic does not train its models on inputs from the API.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing.

We set a session cookie when you sign in so we know it's you on subsequent requests. We don't use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

• Access or delete your account. Email mei@intentional.studio and we'll handle it.
• Stop using AI features. Don't submit text you don't want processed by an AI provider.
• Sign out. Ends your session.

Passwords are hashed at rest, traffic is encrypted in transit, and access to production data is limited. No system is perfectly secure — if you discover a vulnerability, please email mei@intentional.studio.

The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the product.
